We asked Charlotte how she liked being a big sister; she gave it two thumbs up!

She looks a bit like a boy here.

Olivia Grace was born on June 9th; two days before her scheduled c-section. But, after 3 days of contractions I'd had enough! She was 7 pounds and 7 ounces and 20 inches long. She has pretty brown/red hair. So far she is a very good baby and is growing like a weed. Welcome to the family Livy. We love having two precious girls.

My sassy little girl has a hard time just being normal these days.

We've had so much fun together just the 3 of us the last 2.5 years. Charlotte has been an absolute joy in our lives. As we are about to add another baby to the family (arriving June 11 via c-section) I have many different feelings. I feel a little sad that Charlotte will no longer receive 100% of the attention and love; I feel a little nervous about balancing another child; but mostly I feel excited to meet this girl (shes yet to be named) and watch Charlotte and her sister grow. I hope Charlotte will understand a sister is a wonderful gift and will love her as much as I love my 3 wonderful sisters. New baby photos coming soon!

Feeling crafty

Lately I've been feeling so crafty; I think it is my way of nesting. I've been busy scrapbooking, embroidering, and sewing. These two monkeys; Molly & Polly are my latest project. As you can see they've been Charlotte tested and approved.

More candy

We spent Eater at Grandma and Grandpa Caldwells this year. Charlotte was super excited about everything Easter; except her dress. She had so much fun playing with cousins, dying eggs, and Eater egg hunting. The bunny was very good to her. Her basket was overflowing with candy, sticker books, Little Pet Shop animals, bubbles and stufffed bunnies. It ended up being windy and cold, so I didn't get any good Easter dress shots. She looked adorable. Happy Easter!

Potty Time

We've started a new adventure in potty training. Charlotte was asking to sit on the potty at the babysitter's; who is trying to train her litle boy. So, we decided we'd better get one for home. Charlotte picked out this cute pink potty and as you can see she is very excited about it. When we got home she was jumping up and down and shouting at me to open it like. Then she sat down and wouldn't get off! We've had a few successes, but we're taking it very slow and easy. She looks like such a big girl on her potty.

Toby torture

After church last week Charlotte refused to get out of her dress. Daddy said he was going to put her clothes on Toby (this is usually a good way to get her to cooperate; she doesn't like to share her things with Toby). This time she didn't seem to care. So, poor Toby got to wear the outfit. He kind of makes a cute little girl!

Princess Charlotte

This is what happens when I ask Charlotte to show me her pretty princess smile. She is in to growling, sneering and grunting when I ask her to do something she doesn't really want to do. Lets hope it is just a phase.
