Girls Tri p 2012

We did it! After years of talking about it, we actually took a girls trip-no husbands, no kids (except for Johanna-but she hardly counts as a kid these days). We met in Phoenix for 5 days of warm weather, and uninterrupted fun!

Let the Pig-nic begin! We dubbed it the week of the "pig-nic" because of the endless flow of treats and desserts. We started the week off with donuts-lots of them.

Day two was a trip to Sedona. Here we are looking lovely against the red rock back drop.

This was as far as we managed to climb up, the view was amazing!
We would have gone further were it not for poor shoe choices and a pregnant girl; not trying to blame Katy-she was the bravest climber of the bunch.

Mom striking a picturesque pose.

A friendly Sedona squirrel benefiting from our leftovers.

On the way home from Sedona we stopped at a famous pie shop. After two days without a man, Katy was feeling lonely and pulled the moves on this innocent guy.

The pie shop had plenty of "charm", the pie was very tasty; more coconut cream anyone? Next time we'll forget about ordering dinner.

Day three was reserved for lounging in and out of the pool, and spa treatments. Andrea put together a lovely feast for us all.

An aggressive native tried to make off with our lunch...ooops, that's just Katy.

After a few nights of late night partying, we were hoping a facial would

impove our appearance. Is it working?

Then there was an alien siting...oh, that's just Andrea peeling off her

face mask.

After we all got beautiful; we went to see Wicked. It was great-we all really enjoyed it! Not pictured is the pig-nicking we did at IHOP after the show at 11:30pm-we were hungry!!!

My girls did stop by on our last evening to get some rare time with Grandma and Aunties.

What a blast-daydreams about our fun time will get me through the end of our long cold winter in Flagstaff. Can't wait for girls trip 2014!!!

Care for a spot of tea?

We had a Valentine's Tea Party today-just for fun. I found some tea cups and a tea pot at the Goodwill to use. Charlotte has been practicing her serving skills.

Mmmm, the treats were tasty!

The sugar cookies were perfection, thanks to Scott's masterful technique. I did the decorating with a little help from some expert "sprinklers".

Here we are before the guests arrived.

Holding treats in both hands isn't exactly proper tea party etiquette.

This is Charlotte Fancy Nancy dress- a hand-me-down from a girl in the Ward. Isn't she cute!

We had three little friends over. The kids ate their sweets and made some cute crafts. It was a lovely party.
