Oregon Coast

Our first road trip in Oregon! First stop was to see the sea lions at Newpost Bay. You really should hear Olivia's baby sea lion impression.

Lunch at Mo's complete with shark toy straws=two happy girls.

This one is for you Andrea. Clam chowder and garlic cheese toast, mmmm......

The beach-hooray!!!!!!!

It was a sunny warm day; so rare for the Oregon coast!

More hoorays!!!!!!

Charlotte made this sand volcano using a cool tecnique that Daddy taught her. Nice work Charlotte.  This is officially our new favorite day trip!

See ya later Arizona

Just a few shots from our drive to Oregon.

Here the girls are pointing out the Grand Canyon. This is as close as they ever got. I never took them; I was too scared they might fall in!

Just past Lake Powell there is a free dinosaur museum I've always wanted to stop at; so we took our last chance to go.

Super-cool Diabloceratops skull. Hundreds of dinosaur fossils were found in this area. The Paleontologist that discovered most of the fossils was there and gave a us a tour; Charlotte was completely star-struck! I should of asked for a picture with him.

There won't be views like this in Oregon.

Most importantly, we stopped for a visit with baby Daisy; isn't she a doll!
I'm afraid that's it. I lost all inspiration while traveling though Idaho. Scene's from Oregon coming soon!

Farewell Flagstaff

As a farewell to Flagstaff we had family pictures taken. I think the scenary in these photos is so beautiful. Flagstaff is a beautiful place, if you can focus on the mountains and trees and avoid looking at the ratty old town. It has been our home for 12 years! I will miss the pine trees, all my walking trails, our beautiful mountains and maybe even the snow.

It was a very bright sunny morning-so we are a little shadowy.
I love the way Charlotte is looking at us in this picture-she is so sweet.
Olivia loves her Daddy.
Next time I'll be posting pictures of Oregon!

Happy Birthday to me....

My 33rd Birthday started with some family photos. We went to a nearby park with lots of lovely sunflowers-I'll have to post the results later.

Then the girls and I had a dino-themed lunch with our friends as a farewell. Draven here is one day older than Charlotte; they've been friends for a long time. You can see they share an enthusiasm for Dinosaurs.

My first attempt at dino cookies-they were pretty cute.
Next was a tennis showdown between Scott and I. We were both pretty rusty. In the end I was victorious; and not just because its was my Birthday.
As usual, I was completely spoiled by sisters and parents. Here I am fending off wrinkles with a facial cleanser from Katy. I can't wait to spend my MACY's giftcard-there's a pair of fall boots calling my name!
Jen sent me this cute apron she made and a new smoothie recipe book. Instead of cake (too many cookies) we ordered take-out from my favorite Thai food place. It was a really fun day. Thank to all for gifts and well wishes!
