Poor Toby

I caught Charlotte harrassing the dog with a squirt bottle tonight. She was having a blast; but Toby didn't appreciate it much. I love his look of agony. At least she gave him a kiss when she was all done.

First Steps

Charlotte took her first steps today! One...two... three.. steps and then she dove into my arms. She tried it several times and then got tired. This is exciting; especially since she is 19 1/2 months old. Charlotte was a bit of a late bloomer when it comes to moving. In fact, she was so slow to get moving her Daddy nicknamed her Slug. She insisted on "scooting" rather than crawling for months. She is a proficient crawler now, but I still call her my little Sluggy. I am very excited to have her walking on her own soon. All of you experienced Moms probably know what I am in for, and had a little chuckle to yourself right there.

Ode to Scott

I showed Scott my blog today. He was insulted by the serious lack of Scott presence. It's true-all of my scrapbooks are filled of pictures of Charlotte, me and even the dog; but Scott rarely makes an appearance. I think sometimes I truly take for granted what a loving, fun and awesome man I snagged. Here are a few of the reasons I love this guy:

He's always willing to squish a spider for me

He sings sweet songs about me when he thinks I'm not listening

He likes a puppy just as much as I do

He makes killer chocolate chip/oatmeal cookies

He does 90% of the house work-it's true!

He's a super fun Dad. He teaches Charlotte things he shouldn't;

like licking Mommy instead of giving her a kiss.

He always saves me the last bite of ice cream.

Need I say more!

Here are a few recent photos of Charlotte at 18 months old.

My new hair cut. Haven't had bangs in 10 years- I am growing them out!

Happy Independance Day! We had a pretty generic 4th of July. In the morning we went to the parade in downtown Flagstaff. It was hot! Chalrotte had a blast. She loved the "big trucks", tractors and volkswagon beetles passing by; as well as the horses and deck out doggies of course. She totally scored with the candy and toys being passed out; because she is so cute I think! The rest of the day was spent grilling hamburgers, playing at the park and just having fun being togehter for once.
